Dear Sailors, Coaches, Representatives of companies supporting the event, below we present some important organizational information that will help us start the championships efficiently. We kindly ask you to comply with all the recommendations below.
UNLOADING THE ILCA BOAT
Due to the limited amount of space at the Yacht Port, we kindly ask you to unload the trailer upon arrival at the port and take it to a specially designated parking lot for trailers (map), which is located behind the port hall. The ILCA boat should be left anywhere in the port, but in such a way as not to block communication routes, walkways and slipways.
UNLOADING A RIB BOAT
If the construction of the trailer allows it, please unload the RIB boat immediately after arriving at the Yacht Port and moor it to a free place at the piers in the Yacht Port. After unloading, please escort the trailer to the special parking area for trailers, which is located behind the harbor hall.
If a crane is needed to unload a RIB boat, we can provide it (at no extra charge). The unloading crane will be located in the Fishing Port (map) and will be available on:
FRIDAY, June 30, 2023 from 12.00 to 16.00
SATURDAY, July 1, 2023, from 12.00 to 16.00
SUNDAY, July 2, 2023 from 12.00 to 16.00
PARKING OF CARS AND TRAILERS
The great interest in the championship makes us very happy, but at the same time it is a big challenge for us related to the right amount of space in the port and its vicinity. Therefore, we kindly ask you to take the trailers to a special car park located behind the harbor hall immediately after unloading the cars and trailers. Cars, on the other hand, should be parked in the car parks around the Yacht Port (map). We kindly ask you not to park cars inside the Yacht Port!!!
From Friday, June 30, 2023 (inclusive) to Sunday, July 9, 2023 (inclusive), car parks around the port and parking spaces in the axis of Żeromskiego Street (map) are free for championship participants. For this purpose, a special parking card should be obtained from the Regatta Office and held behind the windshield of the car.
RULES OF SAILING ON THE RIVER Dziwna (TOWARDS THE SEA AND DURING RETURN FROM THE SEA TO THE PORT)
In agreement with the port master’s office in Dziwnów, we present important recommendations for sailing on the Dziwna River towards the sea and when returning from the sea to the port. When leaving the port, sail close to the eastern bank of the river (yellow mark on the map). The same procedure should apply when returning to port from sea. Remember, you should always sail on the east side of the river. This is very important, because there are other ships on the river, and safety is of paramount importance to us.
WATER FOR REGATTA PARTICIPANTS
Out of concern for ecology and a clean environment, each of the contestants will receive a special bottle (made by DAFI) with a water filter. This will allow you to pour tap water into this bottle. In addition, there will be two additional water dispensers at the Yacht Port (in the Harbor Hall and at the Regatta Office). How to prepare the bottle for use (user manual):
- Wash all parts of the bottle (except the filter) with water up to 50⁰C and washing-up liquid.
- Rinse the filter under cold running water (about 30 seconds).
- Fill the bottle 2/3 with cold tap water, place the filter inside and screw the mouthpiece on.
- Shake the bottle vigorously several times. The water may take on a grayish color. It’s a natural phenomenon. Pour out the water and rinse the bottle.
- Fill the bottle with cold tap water, install the filter and mouthpiece. By pressing firmly, empty the entire bottle through the mouthpiece. Rinse the bottle and repeat the process.
- Fill the bottle with cold tap water. The water is fit for consumption.
